What was your favorite Halloween costume growing up? For me, it was hands down the year I was a Princess. I wore a dress of my mother's - chiffon flowers with flowing sleeves - and a crown she had earned in a little local beauty contest. She applied rust colored blush and lipstick - these were the 1970s after all - and I felt transformed and magical. Today I’ll be dressing up as Ursula from Little Mermaid to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. I love engaging with them and asking them about their costumes. But nothing will ever top that Princess costume from 1979. What was your favorite Halloween costume growing up?

Why I never use third-party websites for flights, and why you should reconsider. A Third-party site is any site selling flights that isn’t the airline directly - Expedia, Kiwi, Gotogate, etc. ❌ OTA rules and restrictions are way more rigid than the actual airlines. Just because an airline offers free changes with no fees doesn’t mean that a third-party site will also change your flights without charging you. ❌ No guaranteed refunds. While an airline may offer you a credit or a full refund, even if the same fare may qualify for a full refund through the airline, it doesn’t mean Expedia and other sites will honor that. ❌ Airlines are much more willing to come to the table with solutions when you book directly. If you think there’s even a slight chance you may need to change your flight for any reason, book directly with the airline. You’ll have a much better chance of recouping the costs with a flight credit, a change fee, or a refund. Booking flights is just one element of a trip. Hope this helps!
