It's a good week to be a GOLFTEC student — especially if your name is Greg or Debbie! A year ago, Greg was shooting in the 100s at Chester Washington Golf Club. On Sunday, he beat his best score with an 88! When Debbie joined GOLFTEC, her goal was to lower her handicap to 7.5 to compete in club events. This weekend, she and a friend won a team scramble with a score of 68 and 6 birdies! Debbie attributes their success to improved approach shots, a key focus area for her. Keep up the great work! #GOLFTEC #GolfImprovement

Last week, GOLFTEC brought Optimotion technology to the 2024 Curry Cup to help the top 24 boys and girls on the Underrated Tour improve their game. The response was overwhelmingly positive and we were grateful to participate! Underrated Golf, a component of Stephen Curry’s Underrated brand, aims to help make golf more accessible for underprivileged student-athletes. Throughout its five tournaments this year, GOLFTEC coaches brought our technology to the links to support our mission of bringing greater accessibility and diversity to golf. A big thanks to GOLFTEC coach Itumeleng Motale for representing us at the Curry Cup and to all of the coaches who participated throughout the year! #CurryCup #Underratedgolf #Optimotion #GOLFTEC

Another day, another GOLFTEC student killing it on the course! Brick has been a dedicated GOLFTEC student since April 2024. His first round on the golf course was in May, where he shot a 105. Between his consistent practice and new equipment from a GOLFTEC club fitting, he's been able to drop his score to a 91! Jon came to GOLFTEC in April as a mid- to high-90s golfer struggling with a big slice. He just hit a new personal best round of 83, which was 5 shots better than his previous best round of 88! Keep up the good work! #Golf #GolfImprovement #GOLFTEC

Just a year after completely stepping away from the game of golf, Robert Gamble, GOLFTEC Director of Operations, qualified for his first PGA of America Professional Championship. The feat was a goal of his for years, but in 2023 the weight of everything was too much to bear. So, before the section championship, he dropped out, abruptly stopped playing golf, and even took time away from GOLFTEC, where he has been working since 2007. “It’s hard to describe it. You don’t really know you’re going through something like that until you’re in it,” Gamble said. “When you set ambitious goals in life, it brings in these new stress factors that you aren’t aware of and prepared for.” After taking some time to rebalance work, golf, family and his mental health, Gamble is preparing to test his golf game with its toughest challenge yet.
