About us
Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is a progressive non-profit community health system located in Hermiston, Oregon founded in 1954 by a group of like-minded community members wanting to make an impact on the community by providing health care services in the form of a fully functioning acute care hospitall. Accredited by Det Norske Veritas, GSHCS has grown to provide inpatient care, emergency services, same-day surgery, regions first Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, and a wide range of outpatient imaging and lab services. Good Shepherd Health Care System announced new hours at Good Shepherd Urgent Care extending them to 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., seven days a week. “By extending our Urgent Care hours, we are reinforcing our dedication to the health and well-being of our community. This enables us to more effectively meet our patients' needs and minimize wait times by offering increased access to care,” stated GSHCS Vice President of Nursing Lucas Bradshaw, MBA, MSN, RN, CEN. Good Shepherd Urgent Care is well-equipped to address a variety of non-life-threatening medical concerns, such as: • Minor injuries and fractures • Allergies and asthma • Cold and flu symptoms • Cuts and abrasions • Urinary symptoms “We want to provide one-stop urgent care that’s convenient for our patients so that they can get back to the things they need to,” stated Bradshaw. “We have diagnostic services including X-rays and lab tests onsite at the Urgent Care for added convenience.” New providers have joined the Urgent Care team including Jadie Dolan, NP, David Erlenbush, PA-C, Nikkiel King, NP, Gesamae McElvain, ANP and Medical Director Robert McCauley, MD, joining existing provider Jim Johnson, MD.
