Co-Founder of luna, the world's first AI-driven digital health companion for teens 💫

What I learnt, and the best parts, of the Google for Startups Female Founders & AI accelerator 💚 A week back in the office and reflecting on the 12 weeks spent as part of Google for Startups latest cohort. My feelings are overwhelming positive towards this experience, so sharing them for anyone thinking of applying to one of the next cohorts... TLDR: do it! 1️⃣ The strength of the cohort: Honestly, anyone out there who says that they can't find strong female founded businesses to invest in, I say, take a look at the women in this cohort. Every single business from legaltech, to cybersecurity to AI family assistants is run by 👏incredible 👏 women 👏 2️⃣ The amazing mentors & technical support provided: One of the biggest benefits of this particular accelerator is the access to mentors from all walks of life, both from inside and outside of Google - need Product help ✅ need help working through OKRs ✅ or even pitch coaching ✅ What's more, our amazing Google Technical Success Manager Natalia Skrzypek, couldn't have been more helpful - taking questions away and finding the right people from within Google to answer them, joining calls every two weeks and providing feedback on our ideas (all whilst still maintaining her day job!) thank you SO much, Natalia 💖 3️⃣ How to best use AI within the luna app: The technical knowledge and experience we have gained, to help power the machine of medics that answer the thousands of questions we receive has been instrumental in helping us achieve our targets and keep scaling the app and future proofing us for when we are 10x (and 100x!) our user base we currently are 📈 4️⃣ A dose of inspiration ✨: It's good to get the head out of the laptop and receive an injection of inspiration every so often - being in person with the other Founders and the Google team for a week in London and a week in Berlin was brilliant for sharing ideas, startup stories and nightmare times! Being surrounded by amazing people really served up some inspiration and has reminded me why we do what we do 💛 5️⃣ Champagne is always a good idea 🥂😉: No explanation needed... #GoogleforStartups #startupfounder #femalefounder

I am proud to share Google's 2024 Environmental Report, which highlights our commitment to sustainability and the strategic use of AI to drive climate action. This year’s report showcases significant advancements and acknowledges the important and challenging work ahead. Key highlights include: -AI for Sustainability: We've optimized energy use, predicted extreme weather, and enabled carbon reductions. Our AI-powered fuel-efficient routing has enabled 2.9 million metric tons of GHG emissions reductions, equivalent to removing 650,000 cars from the road. -Clean Energy Initiatives: We’ve achieved at least 90% carbon-free energy in 10 grid regions and maintained a global average of 64% carbon-free energy despite our increased electricity load. We also contracted 4 GW of clean energy generation capacity, more than in any prior year. -Water Stewardship: We've nearly doubled our water replenishment portfolio and replenished an estimated 1 billion gallons of water, tripling our progress toward our water replenishment goal. -Circular Economy: We achieved 100% plastic-free packaging for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable product design. Our journey toward a sustainable future is driven by innovation and collaboration. While we celebrate these milestones, we also recognize the challenges ahead and our commitment to transparency and improvement. Explore our full report to learn more about our initiatives and progress: https://lnkd.in/g4nBssnD A huge thank you to our dedicated sustainability team and partners for their relentless efforts. Looking forward to continuing this important work together. #Sustainability #ClimateAction #AIforGood #RenewableEnergy

Project Manager at Objectbox | First on-device vector database+ Data Sync Sustainable | Open Source | On-device AI | Edge AI | Local AI

Excited to be in #Berlin for #GoogleIO Connect with ObjectBox and the Google for Startups AI female founder program! The energy here is incredible with so many creative and talented people. One of the highlights has been the announcement of Gemma 2 with 9B and 27B parameters. There were also a lot of great discussions on developments in on-device AI. From the use of Gemini Nano which can run on mobile phones to Google AI Edge. On-device AI brings: ✅ Offline capabilities ✅ Reduced latency ✅ Enhanced safety through local processing ✅ Lower costs by shifting computations from cloud to device With the rapid advancements in GenAI and Edge Computing, it's thrilling to imagine where on-device AI will be by the next Google I/O Connect. Special thanks to Nick Oseyko and Elaine Dias Batista for spontaneous and interesting chats on on-device tech!

✨Whoa! What an event #GoogleIOConnect in #Berlin was! It’ll leave me buzzing with excitement for weeks! #GenAI was absolutely dominating the sessions with notable highlights of: ➡️ Code generation on the next level inside idx.dev - I was able to generate an API spec and then whole API based on that spec in #Python ➡️ Multimodal use-cases for #Gemini and programmatically integrating these with other products, like Sheets ➡️ Local inference with #Gemma on the edge  ➡️ Orchestrating #GCP infrastructure with help of AI But it wasn’t all exclusively gen AI, other great things I learned about were ➡️ #Firebase Data Connect, with #GraphQL and lots of complexity reduced by the tool ➡️ #Flutter going strong with 2d game physics with Flame ➡️ Firebase app hosting, big step from static site hosting, especially with server-rendered apps And aside of the content the event was a great opportunity to: ➡️ Attend workshops and get hands on experience with many of the technology from above bullet points ➡️ Spend quality 1on1 time with Flutter Dev and Firebase engineers ➡️ High five old and new friends shout out to Google for Startups mentor crowd! Thank you to Google for Startups for inviting me, kudos to all presenters and workshop instructors, thanks Michał Tuszyński for coming along and geeking out with me outside of the event hours. See y'all next year and now let’s it’s time to build!
