Exciting Night at the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health's 111th Annual Friend & Leader Award Dinner! Our Chief Operating Officer, Danae Young, and Senior Director of Advancement, Colleen Welch, attended this inspiring event at the Seaport Hotel in Boston last night. It was an honor to connect with leaders in mental health, including David Matteodo, Executive Director of the MA Association of Behavioral Health Systems. A special shoutout to the fantastic emcee, Ted Wayman, Emmy award-winning journalist from WCVB Channel 5, for leading the evening with grace and insight. It’s time to celebrate another Values Hero with you! Congratulations are in order for Craig Hesketh, Maintenance Technician, for being selected as August's recipient of the "Nemo" Award. The “Nemo” Award recognizes employees who go the extra mile to fulfill Gosnold’s mission. These are the employees who will sometimes extend themselves when needed to support the needs of our patients, their team, and/or the organization overall. Nominated independently by both Dennis Cronin and Derrick Saffron, the Assistant Director and Director of Facility and Culinary Services, respectively, here’s more about how Craig goes above and beyond the accountabilities of his role to support our patients, his team, and our Gosnold community: "Craig has been a valuable team member at Gosnold for the past three years. Craig can be seen at one of the many buildings that Gosnold oversees. He has taken trips to Stoughton to look at an AED box or can be seen mowing a lawn. He can be spotted unclogging a toilet at Emerson house, fixing a screen at Centerville, or changing a light at Homeport. Craig's job duties come in many forms and the most important one is managing the dreaded emergency phone. If there is an emergency - day or night - Craig is right there to save the day. Boarding a window up at GTC at 11 PM or addressing a sprinkler system in shutdown mode at 5:30 AM, Craig's job as a maintenance tech goes in many different directions. Just the other day he was helping a patient who was lost in the back parking lot. He helped them into a stable position until the proper help arrived." Thank you, Craig! 🙌🎉 Please take some time to congratulate Craig for bringing our values of innovation, integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence to life in how he shows up every day in his work.
