Each year, Gosnold awards two $2500 scholarships to graduating seniors who are committed to a career in healthcare and exhibit a strong dedication to helping others. We are honored to introduce the recipients of Gosnold's 2024 Student Scholarship Awards: Sahsha Barnicle, a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, has been accepted to UMass Boston where she will pursue a major in psychology with the goal of entering the field of social work. Sahsha has been inspired through her own life experiences to become a social worker who specializes in working with children. She is passionate about advocating for the safety and well-being of minors and being a supportive figure in their lives. Gosnold is excited to support Sahsha’s academic endeavors and knows her tenacity and resilience will propel her to achieve her goals at UMass Boston and well beyond. Jade Sinsigalli, a graduate of Duxbury High School, will be attending the University of Alabama. She plans to major in psychology while also pursuing minors in music and neuroscience. Jade’s desire to help others is fueled in part by her fascination with the human brain and her passion for breaking stigmas associated with seeking support for mental health needs. Her personal and family experiences further inspire her educational path and her goal of becoming a school psychologist, clinical psychologist, or special education law attorney. Gosnold is thrilled to support one of her long-term goals: “smashing the stigma of mental health” and wishes her the best in her academic pursuits at ‘Bama.
