Helping small businesses win federal contracts: AI Tools | Expert Guidance | Supportive Community

As easy as it is to use AI (think ChatGPT), paying attention to risks is not the same as resisting inevitable change. Here are some key risks related to the federal acquisition process: Confabulation - confidently state false or inaccurate information Dangerous Recommendations - AI lacks ethics; that's what we bring Data Privacy - leaking or disclosing personal or sensitive information Human-AI Interaction Issues - we have oversight Information Integrity - trust but verify with a reliable source Intellectual Property - generate content that plagiarizes Bias and homogenization - AI perpetuating discrimination The reason this document is a valuable read is that it tells you exactly what your federal buyers are going through. One way to strengthen your relationships within an agency is to understand these challenges, and if possible, help them mitigate those risks. __________________________________ 🔥 Join 20,685 others and subscribe to our GovCon newsletter | https://lnkd.in/es6qfwgk 👀 Follow me (Neil McDonnell) on LinkedIn and hit the 🔔 on my profile to see more government contracting content like 35,112 other people do.

Helping small businesses win federal contracts: AI Tools | Expert Guidance | Supportive Community

Life is tough sometimes, especially when you're pursuing your goals and dreams. You may find yourself thinking about quitting... don't. You may think about taking the easier path... don't. Instead, push through... In Navy SEAL training, there's a powerful symbol for quitting: a bell. If you ring it, you’re done. It’s the final step for those who decide they’ve had enough. You have to choose to quit and walk up to the bell. No one will force you to ring the bell. But those who push through the toughest moments, the coldest waters, and the most relentless challenges emerge stronger. The same holds true for government contractors. The federal market can be grueling — long timelines, detailed proposals, intense competition. There are moments when it feels like the easier option would be to walk away and get a 'real' job. But those who choose to endure and stay the course are the ones who win the contracts, build the relationships, and grow their businesses. To all the small businesses out there, remember: Don’t quit on the 10th rejection; that 11th proposal could be your winning ticket. Don’t quit when deadlines feel overwhelming; it’s in the last mile that you separate yourself from the pack. Don’t quit when learning the ropes feels like a mountain; each challenge is a lesson that prepares you for the next opportunity. In the end, success in government contracting—like in SEAL training—isn’t just about skill. It’s about endurance. So, whatever you do, never ring the bell. Join me in virtual networking on 10/28 to meet other government contractors who ignore the bell: https://lnkd.in/eUqiQxzX ___________________________________ 🔥 Join 20,450 others and subscribe to our GovCon newsletter | https://lnkd.in/es6qfwgk 👀 Follow me (Neil McDonnell) on LinkedIn and hit the 🔔 on my profile to see more government contracting content like 34,812 other people do.
