What a cute small group from The Church at Brook Hills who served today! They wrote thank you notes, stamped books, hung clothes in the Give and Take Room, made flower arrangements, and sorted shoes. Every time we saw any of them, they were having so much fun with the biggest smiles on their faces! Thanks for your YES!!! Between now and December 21st, we need all hands on deck. If you can bring friends and come lend a hand, please sign up at volunteer.feedbhm.org to shine bright for the holidays! We are open Monday thru Friday 9-5pm and need support at all locations… Hoover x4, Calera, Bessemer, Chelsea, Ensley, and Jefferson County. #WeSayYes #feedbhm #unity #WeAreCommunity #lovedoes

Love. Serve. Share. Repeat.
About us
Grace Klein Community, a 501c3 non-profit located in Birmingham, AL, provides a place for people to share life together as they learn to serve and love others in their local community and around the world. We are actively seeking both individuals and business partners who want to share in this vision. Mission: Create authentic community Grace Klein Community seeks to create authentic community by uniting diverse individuals, businesses, ministries, and churches to work together by sharing what they have in order to meet physical and spiritual needs both locally and globally. Vision: Show people that they are deeply valued and that we all have something to give Every person wants to know they are loved and that they matter. Grace Klein Community strives to live out community as a verb, providing people a forum to share what they have so everyone has what they need. Sharing is the give and take relationship of listening, time, resources, money, talents, and encouragement that benefit more than ourselves. Community is the risk of trusting that you belong to the other person as much as they belong to you so that each cares for the other as much as they care for themselves. When we live in a way that “my plenty meets your need so in turn, your plenty meets mine,” then we have the power of Christ’s love to change the world. Purpose: Demonstrate the love of Christ Grace Klein Community exists as an educational and charitable 501(c)3 non-profit providing relief to the poor, the distressed and the underprivileged, lessening community tensions, eliminating prejudice and discrimination and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency. Grace Klein Community serves both locally and globally. If you want to become involved, please contact us via serve@gracekleincommunity.com or visit www.gracekleincommunity.com. “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. We have a lot of “see you laters” at Grace Klein Community. Our friends from India 🇮🇳 visited us for 1.5 months, served Birmingham with us, and lived in our community home, The House 🏡 on the Hill. We culminated their stay with a special outing thanks to Silver Coin Indian Grill sponsoring lunch and an iMax film and learning adventure at the McWane Science Center. Spend time with people from different cultures to expand your worldview and say yes to diversity! #feedbhm #WeSayYes #WeAreCommunity

We were able to stop by and thank the Junior League of Birmingham today for allowing us use of their beautiful facility to host our Women’s Empowerment High Tea. The tea was made spectacular by their generosity. ☕️ Pictures of the tea are coming soon. #WeSayYes #feedbhm #loveservesharerepeat

On Saturday the Alabama Tamil Sangam volunteered their time at Acres and Acres, one of our community homes. After the serve, we shared an Indian meal together which was so special! In the process of serving we made connections with Dr. Marani, the Chief Medical Officer of USA Hospital in Mobile. He would like to partner with us for pediatric health fairs across Alabama and with our global partners Beats and Books. Every volunteer who comes to serve with us in making a meaningful impact in our state and our hearts are full of gratitude! You can join in: volunteer.feedbhm.org #wesayyes #feedbhm #takesavillage

Flashback to fast forward… Beats and Books, Oasis FM and South African women inspired us in August 2024 and today’s our “little repeat” of a Women’s Empowering High Tea hosted by the Junior League of Birmingham thanks to our sponsors Birmingham Women for Good, the 1687 Foundation, TeaTime Magazine, Shades Valley High School, Grace Klein Community, Mended Hearts, Nuance Global, Joy Sinclair and Mb Floral Design! Pray for us to experience the unity Jesus prayed for us in John 17 and be so encouraged as Birmingham women. We are expecting a packed event with the 2pm menu prepared by Shades Valley High School students under the direction of their innovative educator Elyse Jordan. #wesayyes #unity #lifetogether #beintentional #wearecommunity
