As Wire Expo kicks off today, we wanted to take a moment and reflect on our friend, Larry Fitzgerald. It’s been a little over a year since our friend passed away. It’s with heavy hearts but deep gratitude that we celebrate his life and legacy, a true titan in his professional and personal endeavors. Larry, affectionately known as the “Godfather of Wire & Cable,” leaves a remarkable legacy that has shaped our industry in countless ways. Larry’s distinguished career began with his honorable military service, including two tours in Vietnam. His bravery, dedication, and leadership in the field were a testament to his character and commitment to excellence. These same qualities defined his tenure at Graham Engineering, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. Beyond his professional achievements, Larry was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to many. All who worked with him will remember and cherish his influence and contributions to the wire and cable industry. Rest in peace, friend. Your legacy will live on in our hearts and the industry you helped build.

Watching a wheel get started is always a joy, so we wanted to provide a glimpse to our followers. Since 1964, the Graham Wheel has been the signature machine for Graham Engineering and the plastic container industry. Over time, advancements in materials and design further refined the blow molding wheel, leading to increased versatility in producing various shapes, sizes, and types of plastic containers. Every time one of these machines starts rotating on our floor, it’s impossible not to think of Don Graham and the innovations he contributed to the plastics industry.
