GrammaTech was honored to be invited to present at AF CyberWorx first National Security Venture Capital Summit held at the Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation in Colorado Springs, CO. Amid the growing need to modernize code in deployed systems and GrammaTech's capability to… - Extend operational life - Harden against modern threats - Enable interoperability with newer adjacent systems … Ray DeMeo covered our migration of C++ code to memory safe(r) Rust in response to the national call-to-action to eliminate this major vector of memory error vulnerabilities. If on July 19th 2024 you were one of the many thousands affected by over 3,000 canceled flights, downed systems across Healthcare, Government, and impacting 60% of the Fortune 500 - resulting in $10B in losses: That was, at root cause, a C++ memory error!

Humans have long been identified as the greatest cybersecurity threat. Most often, the human component is discussed only in the context of the inadequacies of users and system defenders. Dr. Katz will discuss recent research work related to understanding the psychology of cyber attackers to inform advanced defenses against threats. #GrammaTech, #cyberthreat, #softwaresupplychainsecurity, #securebydesign, #cyberpsychology, #cyberintelligence

GrammaTech is thrilled to be chosen for this effort! It’s important that components used in critical systems on the edge are secure and of known provenance. Nowhere is this more important than in firmware, which controls the hardware and can contain vulnerabilities that might put the system or other connected systems at risk. We’re excited to take on this difficult task and our expertise in firmware unpacking, binary segmentation and software automation make us more than ready for the challenge! #GrammaTech #NSTXL #NSWCCrane #FirmwareSecurity #FBOM #Firmware Check out our press release here: https://lnkd.in/eakRbMKM

Now a global priority, GrammaTech is leading the way in translation of C++ code to memory safe(r) Rust faster and at lower cost than manual refactoring, often with better resultant performance.
Great to have the chance to catch up again this busy cyber season with Harry Coker, U.S. National Cyber Director, at Billington’s VIP reception at the Australian Embassy Washington DC. The Office of the National Cyber Director, The White House, together with DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Australian Signals Directorate's Cyber Security Centre have been leading the call to action for migration to memory-safe(r) languages like #Rust. The #memorysafe movement is building momentum! Further credit to leadership on the industry side, among them: Microsoft, Google, Red Hat, and our own highly skilled team at GrammaTech. … Reflected in the growing number of inquiries we’re receiving … from code suppliers who can no longer rationalize delivering 70% of critical vulnerabilities in the form of C++ to their customers, and … from customers/systems operators who can no longer bear the broad risk and cost to counter in their operational environments. Instead, these organizations seek to automatically migrate their C++ to Rust - in less time and at lower cost, while often improving performance - to largely eliminate this dominant and long overdue area of exposure. Thank you Tom Billington for another memorable event, and Tim Gilday for this picture! Dan Goodwin, CEO GrammaTech, HE the Hon Kevin Rudd Australia’s Ambassador to the US, Amb Nathaniel Fick US Ambassador at Large, Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, U.S. State Department. #securebydesign, #securebydemand
