Last year, we teamed up with Independence Blue Cross and health systems in the area to launch the Regional Coalition to Eliminate Race-Based Medicine. Our goal was to phase out the use of race as a variable in certain tools used to make decisions about patient care. We're proud to announce, just over a year later, that Grand View Health and the other health systems in the Coalition have made progress on that goal. We've transitioned away from race adjustments in four clinical decision tools for lung, kidney, and OB-GYN care!
