There are many reasons why grant writers should use inclusive language in grants. Here are a few of the most important: ➡️ Using emotionally-charged, judgemental, or overly positive or negative language to describe groups of people can reinforce harmful stereotypes. ➡️ Inclusive language helps you counter the narratives that contribute to the marginalization and exclusion of certain groups of people. ➡️ This effort also promotes stakeholder engagement and the practice of listening to program participants. One of the main reactions I get from the course is the *shock* at how efficient the grant writing process can be with the use of AI . . . once you know how to prompt and guide it, that is. When you learn how to effectively be a prompt engineer for generative AI like ChatGPT and Gemini, you no longer have to spend hours: 📚 Researching for statements of need and program designs 💻 Writing and revising proposal drafts 📝 Formatting and structuring your proposal With our course, "Write Your Grant in 1 Hour Using AI," you'll gain the skills to streamline the entire process. Invest just a few hours to save hundreds of hours and unlock a world of possibilities for your organization. Enroll now for only $299! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g-_e9yEX

Abiding by inclusive language principles and guidelines in writing promotes an appreciation of diversity and differences. Knowing how to express ideas using inclusive language is especially important for grant writers. We are often describing the experiences of people who are underrepresented or marginalized. As grant writers, our job is not to simply communicate existing narratives to grantmakers, but to shape narratives. On the blog, I'm sharing some best practices around inclusive language.
