Our Member Monday feature this week is Jill Bindler! Jill is a Partner in the Government Investigations and Compliance Practice Group at Gray Reed. She is also the leader of the firm’s E-Discovery Practice Group which allows her the opportunity to work with the different practice groups of Gray Reed. Jill has been a member of ASC since 2000 when Nancy Burke brought her to that year’s luncheon. She served as Co-Chair for ASC in 2005 and 2006 which led her to ten years of board service for Family Gateway. She is always impressed to see the leadership, mentors, networks, and friendships that grow out of the connections to ASC. Seeing the impact our membership makes in our community by partnering with such deserving beneficiaries is inspiring. Within ASC, Jill enjoys serving on the Charity Selection Committee and seeing the excitement of the announcement of each year’s newest beneficiary. This month, Gray Reed’s Women’s Forum hosted its first-ever retreat at Horseshoe Bay. The retreat brought together women attorneys from Dallas and Houston, as well as Gray Reed Advisory Services professionals for an impactful weekend of growth and connection. Highlights included the presentation “Grit it, Girl! Empowering Women at Gray Reed to Harness Their Strengths and Build Resilience,” which provided a safe space for vulnerability, encouragement and shared learning. Attendees also built and strengthened friendships through various activities such as puzzle challenges, boat rides and bracelet-making (benefiting the Girls Empowerment Network). The weekend embodied the theme 'Clear Visions and Rippling Impact,' reinforcing the Women’s Forum’s commitment to fostering professional growth and resilience among its women professionals.

This year, Gray Reed Partner Kristen Kelly and Associate Stephanie Snyder-Zuasnabar shared their expertise on key contract provisions related to payment, insurance and indemnity. The conference brought together professionals from across Texas for two days of comprehensive education, networking and insights on construction accounting and finance. We’re proud of their contributions and representation of our firm!

At Gray Reed, we're more than colleagues – we're family. Last week, we witnessed a beautiful testament to this as Gray Reed Partner Kristen Kelly and her family finalized the adoption of their two-year-old foster child. Over the years, the Kellys have opened their hearts and home to six foster children, embodying the love, challenges and rewards of fostering. Gray Reed has stood by them every step of the way, with Family Law Partner Amy Allen representing them through the adoption process. The courthouse was filled with Gray Reed attorneys and staff, there to celebrate this life-changing moment. Many more joined via Zoom, proving that distance can't dampen our spirit of unity. This event exemplifies the Gray Reed culture – we don't just work together, we live life together. We celebrate milestones, both big and small, and this was certainly a big one. To the Kelly family -- congratulations! Your story of fostering and now adoption inspires us all and reinforces what we've always known – at Gray Reed, we're truly a family.
