Brian Iezzi, a University of Michigan PhD and I-Corps alumnus, is breaking new ground in the textile industry with Fibarcode. Supported by the NSF I-Corps program, Brian and his team developed a technology where information is embedded within fabric and can be read by optical scanners, ensuring recyclers always know the fabric’s composition. ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN for the fall cohort of Nebraska I-Corps, a campus entrepreneurship training program led by NUtech Ventures. The course begins Monday, September 16. We’ll be teaching about value propositions, stakeholder ecosystems, interviewing prospective customers, and more. You’ll get to interview people in your field and learn which problems are important to them — and then consider what that means for your solution. Our program includes large group training sessions taught by Great Lakes I-Corps Hub and National Science Foundation (NSF)-trained coaches, featuring interactive course content and practice in small groups. The free, non-credit training program is open to all faculty, staff and students within the University of Nebraska system.
