Great Plains Industries is home to the GPI, GPRO, and FLOMEC brands that serve core markets including fuel, agriculture, chemicals, construction, mining, oil and gas, food and beverage, and more. GPI is a brand with a strong legacy of fuel, oil, and chemical transfer pumps and meters. GPRO is a brand of fuel transfer pumps and meters made exclusively for commercial applications that demand a more robust, professional grade design. FLOMEC’s product portfolio encompasses oval gear positive displacement, mag, ultrasonic, turbine, and impeller flow meters. Great Plains Industries got its start in 1968 when the first small office was opened in Wichita. The 700 sq. ft. building accommodated founder Charlie Peer and his co-founders Ken Rix and Lyle Koontz. Through innovation of fuel transfer product solutions, the company has grown to a 178,000 sq. ft. facility located in northeast Wichita.
