I create eLearning that is engaging and retainable.

In the August edition of TD Magazine, Jared Cooney Horvath explores "The Dilemma Regarding Transfer" and suggests that when switching jobs, it can take up to 24 months for an employee to fully integrate and contribute to their new team. This holds true even in organizations with strong onboarding programs, as certain aspects—such as company jargon, daily workflows, and product familiarity—are often not covered and must be learned through experience and exposure. I’m curious if anyone has experienced this kind of extended assimilation period, and what strategies you used to accelerate your integration into the new environment?

"It doesn't matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going." ~ Brian Tracy These days it feels like we are pulled in many different directions. It is easy to get distracted from the true purpose of our journey. How well do you stay on track?

"Outcome versus ROI." In the July edition of TD magazine David Vance writes about measuring and reporting in his article: "What's Your Measurement and Reporting Strategy." I found his loose comparison between Kirkpatrick and Phillips evaluation models most interesting. He mentioned the four levels of the Kirkpatrick model but went on to use the five levels of the Phillips model throughout the rest of the article. Basically, this separates ROI from Outcome or results. I would love to hear from those who evaluate training regularly about the benefits of reporting on outcomes. Or, if you don't see any benefits, why not?
