We were so excited to host the Hampshire County Regional Tourism Council’s Legislative Breakfast and Briefing on Tourism, which took place last Friday morning, March 21, at Hotel UMass. We brought together a hundred of our local senators and representatives, business leaders, and stakeholders in our Hampshire County tourism industry for networking, breakfast, and a lively panel discussion on the history, trends, and future of tourism in Hampshire County, and its profound impact on our local economy. Job Description: Real Estate Marketing and Administrative Assistant Location: Northampton, MA Hours: 8-15 hours/week Compensation: $24/hour A busy real estate agent in Northampton, MA is seeking a skilled Marketing and Administrative Assistant to support various aspects of their business. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Word, Excel, Canva, Instagram, and Facebook, with excellent project management and communication skills. Relevant experience in a similar role is required. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the creation and distribution of quarterly newsletters. Manage social media content creation and posting schedule for Instagram and Facebook. Coordinate client pop-by events, including planning, scheduling, and execution. Organize post-closing client check-ins at 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Manage closing anniversary acknowledgements for past clients. Solicit and collect client testimonials. Oversee closing gift inventory and distribution. Coordinate personal notes to acknowledge transaction milestones. Communication: Assist in creating a one-page summary of agent services, including buyer/seller expectations. Draft and distribute communications to the client database regarding new listings. Required Skills and Qualifications: Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a marketing or administrative support role is essential. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Canva for graphic design; familiarity with Instagram and Facebook for business use. Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities are a must. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently. Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Transportation: Must have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license to run errands as needed. Real Estate Knowledge: Interest in or knowledge of the real estate industry is a plus. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with a successful real estate professional. Position is located in Northampton; some flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
