I cannot begin to describe the joy of meeting one of my favorite players, Draymond Green, yesterday at the NBA Tech Summit and hearing him say, “Do I know Greenfly? I love Greenfly.” He pulled out his phone and demoed the app for me and my cofounder Shawn Green. We didn’t have the heart to tell him that we were already familiar with how it works. 😂 Chills. Shawn conceived Greenfly after being a professional athlete at the highest level for more than a decade. Helping athletes and leagues and teams tell their stories and connect with fans is what it’s all about. We know the numbers, the many tens of thousands of pieces of content NBA players are downloading and sharing every season. But seeing the joy and impact on an individual athlete, especially one who has brought me so much joy over the years as a lifelong Warriors fan, brings it all home.

Haaaaaaaaaave you met Denis? Denis Kennedy Jr. is a Delco native who attended King's College in Wilkes Barre, PA. A content producer who’s been covering professional sports since 2020, Denis got his foot in the door as a Photo Intern for the National Basketball Association (NBA) that year. He’s captured content for the NBA, Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Hockey League (NHL)...and is wrapping up his fourth season as a Live Content Coordinator for the National Football League (NFL). Today, he’s in Philadelphia covering the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl parade. Give Denis a follow and congratulate him on an incredible week (and season) shooting short-form content.

Samantha Green was on campus at The University of Texas at Austin talking NIL, brand building, and content creation strategy with Longhorn student athletes. Sam uses Greenfly to power her on-campus workshops, allowing her to centralize and scale short-form content efforts and ramp up athlete participation. For this workshop, Sam activated Longhorn athletes in real-time, asking asking them to deliver a piece of short-form content specifically tailored to a request sponsored by JBL Professional. Athletes and administrators on Greenfly can easily access all of their content in real-time as it's created, so they can build their brands bigger (and faster) than ever before. At Greenfly, we're legitimately excited to help empower voices like Sam's and encourage creativity, activation, and monetization of short-form content across the world of sports & entertainment.

Incredibly proud to see how Verizon stepped up to deliver the best network for the biggest of events this weekend at the Super Bowl in New Orleans. A huge thanks to our friends Greenfly, Daniel Kirschner & Mark Keaney for showcasing how their technology underpins the Verizon “Behind the lens” programme in conjunction with the NFL!

That's a wrap! Greenfly had an incredible week in the Big Easy for the Big Game. We hosted the Louisiana Lounge in the historic Tremé neighborhood with Tagboard, Monks, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) and absolutely loved every second of it.

Ahead of Super Bowl LIX, Greenfly, Tagboard, Monks and Amazon Web Services (AWS) teamed up to host the Louisiana Lounge in Nola’s historic Tremé neighborhood, directly across the street from the iconic Lil Dizzy’s Cafe. (Get there early, but when the line’s out the door…it’s worth the wait.) Industry execs, seasoned producers, up-and-coming creators, and a few “friends of the pod” were in and out of the Louisiana Lounge for coffee, conversation, and a little content capture. (The AC and high-speed WiFi were an added bonus.) Janice Grimm MS, MBA and Alexia Brown flipped our Airbnb from “frat house” to “Louisiana Lounge” in a matter of hours, which would have been impossible without Scott Measell. Nathan J Peterson, Sky Muller, Amber Wilmarth, Lewis Smithingham, Farren Benjamin, and Marty Roberts hosted and produced Storyteller Sessions, allowing people in the house — and around the world — to watch live as folks like Sinclair Inc.’s Rich Cooke, Robert Alberino of the Kansas City Chiefs, FanDuel’s Avishay Kumar, Verizon’s Eric Greendyk and so many others talked a little shop and extolled a ton of virtue. Daniel Kirschner, Mark Keaney, Nicole A. and I hosted a group of rising stars in the short-form content space. Denis Kennedy Jr., Trevor Hayes, Suzi Mellano and Michael C. Mooney were in town to shoot the game as part of the National Football League (NFL)’s LCC program. Getting to know them and then follow along as their content hit social feeds in real-time on Sunday night was an absolute thrill. Alethea Peyrin, MBA and Leighton Griffiths, Randy Sollenberger, and Gondola CEO Jared Kleinstein are some of the strongest forces shaping the short-form content industry. They’re quite literally holding doors open for young creators. Greenfly powered the capture and distribution of short-form content from the event, thanks in no small part to Asher Greene and Jack Martin, who were on site with us for the week shooting, editing and dropping assets into Event Galleries so that anyone coming through the house could snag their stuff in real-time. If you need a restaurant recommendation in New Orleans (or anywhere on Earth, so I’m told), Gregory Taylor is your guy. Need a new show to binge? Emma Williamson has you covered. It was a legitimate pleasure to meet Cassandra Gagliardi and Gregoire Rouyer. Karli DeFilippo kept the Louisiana Lounge running like a well-oiled machine. Jonathan McKinnell was juggling multiple technical activations throughout the week, not that anyone would have noticed given how smoothly they all ran. All told, the Louisiana Lounge featured dozens of speakers, hosted hundreds of attendees and produced an untold number of digital assets for individuals and brands to publish across a litany of channels. It was an absolute thrill and I intend to expound on the experience to anyone willing to listen for quite some time. (Go Birds. 🦅 )

Greenfly on the field and throughout the stadium. An absolute privilege to support the National Football League (NFL) on their biggest day. Will never take this for granted.
