Green Gooding is a circular economy solution based in Brooklyn, New York. We rent refurbished cleaning, cooking, and partying equipment so that people don't need to buy what they don't often use. It's easy (rent online or in a shop through a QR code), affordable and fun. We are young, but going strong.

Who "owns" the refillable bottle, reusable bag, torned pants or used appliance is central to the success of the circular economy. This means that this person, organization, or company is ultimately responsible for the good 'reuse" of this item and its final disposal. This why from the beginning we decided to own our inventory, to be fully accountable for the reuse, repair, and recycling of every appliance. With a 100% return rate, and only 3% of fail/ broken items over 500 rentals it shows that it works and that rental can be a great solution.

Today was a big day for Green Gooding: We launched New York City's first circular economy delivery rental system, for a cleaner, greener city. Building circular economy systems is challenging and this was no exception. We had to rebuild our website to allow for deliveries, get more reliable appliances, find the right packaging that can be used many times, identify drivers that would be up to the task, create a product offering, build a delivery route... But we are there, 4 orders and counting, living to our purpose to Experience More and Own Less. At Green Gooding, we're igniting the joy of living by reimagining how we consume. Had an inspiring evening at the Shopify NY office! The panel discussion on building a sustainable business was insightful, featuring marcus antebi of Juice Press, Zeweditu Jewel of Cloudy Donut, and Mary Bemis of Reprise Activewear. Each of them shared their journey of creating ground-breaking products from all-natural juices, vegan donuts, and plant-based activewear. Hats off to these amazing entrepreneurs who dared to push mountains and build successful businesses!
