Greenwood and Cavalier is a venture capital firm with over one-hundred combined years of operational experience, early-stage investing, entrepreneurship, and successful exits. Our team has extensive experience as successful founders and investors in seed stage tech startups, including direct investments in over one-hundred sixty technology startups from Silicon Valley to Israel and Europe. Only a team that has personally backed this large number of technology startups possesses the mastery to uncover, research, and provide our investing partners a stream of quality opportunities. More importantly, our team will help grow them once the investments are made through a mentorship program where team members may serve as executives at any stage in these companies. Our founders reside in Northern California, Texas, Nashville, South Florida, and Israel. We seek investment opportunities that offer above-market returns for ourselves and interested people to co-invest with us. As co-investors we aggregate many small investments into a single investment that overcomes the minimal investment size threshold that is a barrier to entry for many individuals and families into these opportunities. Unlike traditional venture capital firms, we do not manage funds. Instead, we present opportunities that each co-investor can elect to invest with us or not. We are focused on investing each year into carefully selected, entrepreneurial, and technology-enabled companies that have achieved product market fit and have actual revenue. Our investment thesis places a premium on first-mover advantage over intellectual property, on recurring revenue over business plan potential, and focusses on the synergies amongst co-founders. Many opportunities will be sourced from the “Y Combinator” and “500 Startups”, which are two of the best startup accelerators in the world. Others will come from subsequent round investments in companies where our team has been invested for years.
