Last weekend, we proudly wore our best pink attire to support the 29th Annual Boys & Girls Clubs of The Columbia Basin Barbie-themed auction! The auction aimed to raise crucial funds to support the Clubs, and we are honored to have played a part in raising $175,000 – enough to keep the Clubs open through the end of the year. A heartfelt thank you to the community members who made this event possible. We are excited to continue our support for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin and are already looking forward to next year’s auction!

We’re thrilled to announce that Group14 was selected for a $200M award negotiation by U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to build a new silane factory in Moses Lake, Washington. This state-of-the-art factory is expected to produce 7,200 metric tons of silane gas annually – a key raw material for next-generation silicon batteries. This major step forward helps us secure a reliable, domestic supply of silane, reducing dependency on foreign sources and fueling the U.S. battery supply chain for electric vehicles and beyond. As Group14 CEO Rick (Eric) Luebbe put it: “A new silane factory in Washington state will allow Group14 and other silicon battery companies in the U.S. to source this critical raw material domestically, to support EV-scale battery production and reduce foreign battery supply chain dependence.” This milestone is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law initiative, aimed at expanding domestic battery manufacturing for electric vehicles and the electrical grid.
