About us
We believe that therapy is an essential part of becoming the best versions of ourselves. No matter who you are or where you are starting, it’s more than support through challenge - it’s the foundation to grow, heal and lead lives that are more resilient, empathic, hopeful and powerful. Everyone should have the opportunity to receive personalized therapy, and therapists should be able to serve the communities they care about most, not just the 10% of people who can afford to pay out of pocket. Our mission is to get more people into therapy by bridging the gap between therapists and people seeking mental health care. Grow Therapy empowers independent therapists to launch and grow thriving in-network private practices by enabling them to tap into large scale credentialing, referrals, administrative and community support enabled by our passionate team and technology. When therapists no longer have the hassle of mundane admin tasks like billing and insurance claims or the limitations of out-of-pocket-only payment options, they can provide care to the communities who need it most! To achieve our lofty ambitions, we’re building an ambitious team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Our founders come from Harvard Medical School, Stripe, and Blackstone, and bring Grow’s mission to life from the inside-out, promoting holistic wellness for all team members. We balance our determination with a culture that champions well-being, from unlimited PTO and a Winter Break to Mental Health Mornings and learning and wellness stipends. Grow is backed by top VCs and angel investors, including leaders from SignalFire, Village Global, Airbnb, Nurx, PatientPing, and Blackstone. We have a long way to go to maximize our impact, but if we do our job well, in the coming years we will make a difference in countless lives. We hope you’ll join us!

We’re thrilled to launch new AI-assisted products! Powered by ambient listening, these AI tools give therapists structure drafts of notes and clients visit summaries that help navigate the journey toward improved mental health. We had a chance to discuss how Grow’s new AI-assisted clinical tools enhance care and why high-fidelity AI is crucial in mental health with Alexis Kayser of Newsweek. We’re excited to partner with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota to increase access to high-quality behavioral health care. Everyone should be able to find the mental health care that they need and our partnership with BCBS of Minnesota helps to ensure that. “Partnering with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota to design a thoughtful payment and measurement model reflects our shared commitment to serving communities across the state. We believe this marks the start of a meaningful and lasting partnership to make high-quality behavioral health care accessible to every Blue Plan member in Minnesota.”— Manoj Kanagaraj, MD, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder of Grow Therapy. https://lnkd.in/gGtU4END

Although new to Grow Therapy, Inderpreet Dhillon, M.D., MBA is no stranger to answering the big picture questions in behavioral health. Watching him in action at #BHT2024 inspired us to challenge preexisting beliefs about what access to therapy means to the people we serve. “Fundamentally, we need to look beyond the numbers to know if there is adequate access to behavioral healthcare. Consider Therapeutic Alliance as an example. By measuring the connection between clients and therapists, we can tell nuanced stories about how to maintain stickiness." Thank you, again, to Solome Tibebu and the entire Behavioral Health Tech team for convening the best and brightest in our field! We cannot wait for #BHT2025!

ICYMI Grow Therapy at BHT 2024: Cynthia Grant and an expert panel explored how to encourage uptake of Measurement Informed Care (MIC) in Behavioral Health. They discussed how health plans and behavioral health providers can establish shared goals that shoot for the North Star: helping everyone achieve the best possible results from behavioral health treatments. Insights and Key Takeaways: 📊 MIC can help health plans identify themes. Finding commonalities across behavioral health providers whose clients consistently achieve anxiety or depression remission can lead to solutions that can be repeated and scaled. 🤝 Collaborate, do not mandate. Success in behavioral health is context dependent, and providers need to know that measurement frameworks can truly capture their work. 🧠 MIC can help close network gaps. For example, if members are seeing positive results in major depression but not in eating disorders treatments – that tells health plans where to focus. Thank you Ann O'Grady, Liz Jones, Doug Henry, PhD, Clinical Psychologist and Vice President, Enterprise Behavioral Health at Highmark Health, and Paul Giger, MD, MBA for joining us and sharing your perspectives. See you at BHT next year!
