🌳Post-Harvest: Time to Plan for Next Season's Irrigation! 🌳 As the harvest wraps up, it's the perfect moment to start planning your irrigation strategy for the upcoming growing season. 💧🚜 At Waterlabs, we help growers optimize their irrigation practices in their cropping system using personalized data-driven insights to improve crop yield and quality. We use a combination of soil moisture probes and pressure bombing to create tailored irrigation guidelines. Here's how: •Soil Moisture Probes: Monitor moisture levels in the soil, giving us real-time insights into what’s happening below the surface. •Pressure Bombing: Measures the stress levels of your crops, helping us understand how they’re coping with water demand. By combining both, we get a clearer, more accurate picture of your crops' needs and can make smarter irrigation decisions that benefit both your yield and your bottom line. 🌳💧 Don't wait—start planning now for a healthier, more productive crop season ahead! #Waterlabs #GrowWest #IrrigationOptimization #SustainableAg #WaterEfficiency

🌟 Meet Dan🌟 a West Plainfield native and a dedicated crop consultant at Grow West! With a background in Crop Science from Chico State and a deep-rooted passion for agriculture, Dan has been helping growers thrive in tree, vine, and field crops. 🌳 🍇 🌱 When he’s not in the field, Dan enjoys tackling home improvement projects, reading about history, and staying active in his faith community. He leads junior high youth ministry and preaches at Grace Valley Christian Center. Dan’s hands are also full as he has two little ones, a 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son that keep him and his wife busy. Becoming a PCA wasn’t always in the playbook for Dan, “I became interested in becoming a PCA when I met my current colleague Drew who helped me get a summer job working for an independent consultant checking orchard traps.” After that formative summer Dan went on to investigate the research career field, helping agronomists test and develop new alfalfa varieties. It wasn’t until the summer before Dan’s senior year at Chico where he started working for Grower’s Ag Service in Dixon, that Dan found his calling card with Grow West. “I was drawn to the company because I felt more involved in the day-to-day operations of the grower. I liked that PCAs would offer recommendations and then be in the field servicing that recommendation. I knew this company was a place I could show value and create lasting relationships with growers” 🚜 🌾 In his role at Grow West, Dan takes pride in working closely with growers, offering tailored solutions for pest control, crop nutrition, irrigation management, and even assists growers in applying for grant funding for sustainable farming practices. His greatest reward? Seeing growers succeed and building lasting relationships built on trust and collaboration. “Farmers are good people. My job has taught me to always show up ready to give everything I’ve got and care about the crop as much as the grower does.” - Dan💪🌱 #WeAreGrowWest #PCA #IrrigationManagment

🌟 Meet Corrine! 🌟 She joined her local 4-H chapter, Woodland Clever Clovers, at age 12 and raised two lambs, Reba and Spazz, from 2005 to 2006. Corrine didn’t just raise and show her lambs at the local Spring Show; she also gave back to her community. She volunteered at Nugget Market during their canned food drive, contributed to Toys for Tots, and proudly earned the title of most sold Driscoll strawberries in her chapter. 🐑 🍓 Before each Spring Show, Corrine went the extra mile by helping to clean out the kennels, plowing hay, washing, and sweeping. When reflecting on how 4-H impacted her life, Corrine said, "Raising Reba and Spazz taught me the responsibility of caring for animals and the hard work it entails. I had to visit them before school and after, plus attend weekly meetings with our group." Along with valuable lessons in responsibility, Corrine had a lot of fun. She shared, "My childhood best friend and I decided to join 4-H together; we bought our lambs at the same time and did all our chores side by side." 🌱💚 #National4HWeek #GrowWest #AgPride #4HAlumni
