Regina Fleming is running the TCS New York City Marathon on November 3rd to raise funds for GSOFCT! Regina's journey into running began unexpectedly when she signed up for what she thought was a simple fun run, only to find out it was a half marathon. After training for just 10 days, she finished that race and discovered her passion for distance running. That moment transformed her from a novice into a determined athlete, highlighted as one of the 10 of 10,000 Six Star World Marathoners finishers and entered into the Guinness World Records in 2023 for her completion of the Tokyo. Building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
About us
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them. My goodness. I was leading an AKA Cluster Meeting in NJ and sharing my new role as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut and asked my sorority sisters if any of them were Girl Scouts or had Girl Scouts. Overwhelming response of YES!! I love my AKA and my Girl Scouts! And I so appreciate all that donate to my CT Council and support our NY Marathon runner Regina Fleming. #GSOFCT #AKA1908 https://lnkd.in/eUhUr9-5 https://lnkd.in/e2RUhkvC

Pumpkin Chuck was a smashing success this past weekend! 🎃 Nearly 200 Girl Scouts had an amazing time learning about gravity, physics, and the engineering process. Many thanks to Petit Family Foundation for sponsoring this STEM event for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut.
