We're on a mission to empower all the world’s factories to reach sustainable peak performance. It's good for business and good for the planet. Grateful for our partners at Breakthrough Energy and Siemens who play a vital role in transforming this mission into reality. Our founder Bill Gates joined the annual Siemens leadership conference in Munich today, hosted by Siemens President and CEO, Roland Busch, to recognize the strong partnership we are developing between our organizations. Siemens stands out not only as a global industrial technology leader - ~€77.8B revenue, ~€6.2B R&D expenditures, business operations underpinning industries from electricity, to transportation, manufacturing and buildings - but also as a first mover leaning into the deployment and scale-up of climate technologies, including some developed by Breakthrough Energy-backed companies. Take Guidewheel (Lauren Dunford), which improves efficiency of factory operations, lowers emissions and will deliver real-time data to Siemens' product carbon footprint tool SiGREEN. Or LuxWall, Inc., which will reduce emissions from Siemens-owned buildings with its window solutions. All of this supports Siemens' ambitious 2030 net zero targets and scales up important climate solutions - today. It's a great example for other large corporations to follow. And there is more that we can work on together. Thank you for the good collaboration to date, Barbara Humpton, Alex Stuebler, Aneesh Bhardwaj, Christian Franz, much of which has been led on our side by my colleague Nishant B.. It was also a pleasure to meet other members of Siemens leadership together with my colleague Ann Mettler, including Sabine Erlinghagen, Peter Koerte and Jim Hagemann Snabe. #climatetech #cleantech #industrialtransformation
