We have created a network of resources that support the Gulf of Mexico's global blue economy cluster. Work with our university research scientists and federal partners to solve challenges in uncrewed maritime systems, ocean-friendly plastics, precision marine aquaculture, smart ports, ocean & coastal resilience data and analytics, and sea & space systems. The University of Southern Mississippi has assets across the coast, forming a unique maritime infrastructure to support innovative marine technology design, testing, and refining. Innovators have access to marine scientists, engineering, corporate and U.S. Government partners, and customers, so your team can bring new technology to market faster. The Gulf Blue innovation center and co-working space, located in the historic Gulf Ship Island Building in the Gulfport Blue Economy Innovation District, is a collaborative workspace for innovators to call home while developing blue tech solutions for global challenges.
