We spent the morning with the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation at Del Mar College for a Manufacturing Day career expo and panel discussion coordinated by Center for Emerging Energies. Furthering education & workforce development is a key focus area. Today we had the chance to talk to middle, high school, and college students about working at a place like GCGV. Our very own Technical Department Head, Keith Heyer, spoke on a panel about the Coastal Bend region's potential in our changing energy economy. At GCGV, safety is our highest priority! The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) Safety Awards Program is designed to promote accident prevention and recognizes sites with excellent safety records. This year, three of our on-site contractors received the Contractor Safety Achievement Award, which honors those in the top percentile of their field. Congratulations, and THANK YOU, to BrandSafway, Turner Industries, and PSC Group for earning this honor and sharing in our commitment to safety.

Congratulations to the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures Men's Basketball Team for their undefeated season and Championship Tournament victory! 🏀 12 athletes from 9 different departments came together, demonstrating that teamwork and leadership are essential both on and off the court. Special recognition goes to EJ Garza, who was named the Corporate League's Season MVP, and Steve Hamm, who earned the Championship Tournament MVP. #Wearegcgv

Today we joined AMENA (Advancement of Middle Easterners and North Africans) and SABIC in celebrating Saudi's 94th National Day by immersing ourselves in its' rich culture! We enjoyed delicious Saudi and Mediterranean cuisine, explored the traditions, and had the opportunity to try on beautiful traditional clothing. A day full of learning and celebration! #Wearegcgv

Last week, we welcomed more than 80 local businesses to our site for a Meet the Buyer event in partnership with the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, @Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce, Golden Crescent Urban Chamber of Commerce, and Del Mar College Contractor Resource Center. At the event, business leaders had the chance to engage with our Procurement team and buyers, as them questions, and learn more about how to best work with GCGV. We aim to be the best neighbor we can be by supporting local businesses to strengthen the local economy and quality of life in the Coastal Bend. We are proud of the partnerships we have developed. We had a blast today talking to students at the #YouChoose Career Fair hosted by Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend! What an honor to tell thousands of local students about what we do and the opportunities available with GCGV and our partners. 🤩 Education and workforce development are key pillars of our Good Neighbor Program, and we are so glad to raise awareness of all the great careers available right here in the Coastal Bend!

This week we attended the State of the University! We are proud to support Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and their State of the University luncheon. Thank you, Dr. Miller, for your leadership and sharing your vision for the Island University with the community.

Today, our President & Site Manager Paul Fritsch spoke to the Portland, TX Chamber of Commerce  about our operations and the future of our industry at their State of the Industry luncheon. Paul highlighted some of our recent significant milestones, like completing the past year injury-free, and thanked the Portland community for their support. We are proud to live, work, and support this community. 🙌 #WeAreGCGV
