Recently, we hosted a visit from Bechtel, who is the prime contractor for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML-2) Project. Bechtel commended the Gulf Island workforce for our ongoing contributions to the ML-2 Project. Gulf Island is proud to be fabricating structural components which will be used on the ML-2 Project. ML-2 will be used as part of NASA’s Artemis program to launch space vehicles to the moon and eventually to Mars. In true Louisiana fashion, we all came together to eat a delicious meal to celebrate our progress on this historic project. Several employees lent a hand to help cook white beans, jambalaya, rolls, and dessert. Success has never tasted so good!
