GXO showcased their operational incubator program at A3 - Association for Advancing Automation’s Humanoid Conference, highlighting how partnerships with technology companies accelerate product development and time to market.
Adrian Stoch, GXO Logistics, Inc.’s Chief Automation Officer, shared an update on their progress.
At the heart of GXO’s R&D strategy is their “operational incubator” program, where they collaborate with leading developers to test emerging technologies in real-world warehouse environments. This approach drives faster innovation and enables them to trial cutting-edge solutions.
Over the past year, GXO has tested humanoid prototypes from Agility Robotics, Apptronik, and Reflex Robotics, becoming the first logistics provider to deploy these robots in a live operational facility.
Adrian highlighted three key benefits of humanoid robots:
• Handling repetitive, weight-bearing tasks while reducing the risk of injury.
• Flexibility to operate in various applications.
• Ease of integration into existing systems.
ATI Industrial Automation and Celera Motion, A Novanta Company applaud GXO’s commitment to advancing warehouse automation technologies like humanoids.
