As we wake up this morning to the images in the wake of destruction from Hurricane Milton, our thoughts are with our associates, franchisees, and clients in the Southeast. The devastation from Hurricane #Helene and #Milton have created an urgent need for essentials and in these critical times, we embody our Purpose: to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere. That is why H&R Block is donating to the following organizations: 🟩 American Red Cross 🟩 United Way 🟩 World Central Kitchen 🟩 Save the Children US We are also providing financial assistance to our franchisees and associates in need through our Associate Relief Fund. The videos and images of destruction from Hurricane Helene - and now Hurricane Milton - have been difficult to process. As someone who visits H&R Block offices and meets with our associates across the country, I’m saddened to see the damage to the Southeast. We are working with team leaders across the impacted areas to assist our associates in dealing with these devastating storms. We’re still evaluating the damage to H&R Block offices and the communities they are a part of. In these moments, we fully embrace our Purpose at H&R Block, which is to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities, no matter where they are. To aid our clients in need, H&R Block is making donations to four organizations—American Red Cross, United Way, World Central Kitchen, and Save the Children—to bolster their disaster relief efforts. We are also providing essential financial assistance to our franchisees and associates in need through our Associate Relief Fund. Our associates are the backbone of our company, and their support during these challenging times is truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful to those who have contributed to our Associate Relief Fund to help their colleagues in need. Seven years ago today I walked into One H&R Block Way in Kansas City with respect for all that came before me and a belief in the potential of our people. As I begin my eighth year in this role I’m enormously proud of all we’ve accomplished and still humble about the hard work ahead. Transformation is never complete. With the backdrop of horrible devastation from Helene and now Milton on the way, and the world seemingly on edge, I keep this role and my good fortune in perspective, and remain intent on helping H&R Block deliver its Purpose of providing help and inspiring confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.
