About us
HS Inc. was founded in 1969 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. What began as a garage shop and a vision, has grown into a multi-facility company and a leader in the mold-making industry. Together, Harold and Marcia Steele founded the company and today Marcia Steele remains the sole owner and CEO of the corporation. The success of HS Inc. is due in a large part to active involvement and investment in new technology and commitment to the manufacturing of world-class tooling. HS Inc.'s commitment to new technology and manufacturing practices began in 1978 with a major investment in computerized design and machining capabilities. Being one of the first in the industry to utilize CAD/CAM technology, HS Inc. has since been at the forefront of development and deployment of design and programming software. A review of one of our facilities will confirm that there is no collection of comparable equipment worldwide. When coupled with the team effort, dedication, and craftsmanship of the employees, the result is Team HS Inc.

Our own Paul St. Louis had the chance to speak with the team at the Modern Industrialist Podcast about HS Inc, our evolution from mold maker to automation system provider, and what the future holds for us! Give it a listen, and make sure to follow the TXI team, Jason Hehman and Matt Reich and check out some of the other episodes of Modern Industrialist!
The past few years have given me so many cool opportunities to learn, grow, and expand who I am as a professional, and as a person. A few weeks ago, I had one of those really fun opportunities when I was invited by Jason Hehman and Matt Reich to join in an episode of the Modern Industrialist Podcast. We talk a lot about the history and evolution of HS Inc. Automation, but also Industry 4.0, the evolution and manufacturing, and much more. HS Inc. Automation is not just deploying robots; we're architecting intelligent solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing systems, unlocking unprecedented levels of productivity and flexibility for our clients. Here are three key ways that our team is embracing the new paradigm in robotics: 1️⃣ Adaptive Intelligence: Today's robots are more than mere machines; they're intelligent agents capable of learning and adapting to dynamic environments. By harnessing the power of AI and machine learning, we're enabling robots to optimize their actions in real-time, driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. 2️⃣ Collaborative Workforce: Contrary to the misconception of robots replacing humans, we're witnessing a paradigm shift towards collaborative robotics. By designing systems where robots and humans work side by side, we're enhancing safety, efficiency, and overall workplace satisfaction. 3️⃣ Interconnectivity: In the era of Industry 4.0, connectivity is king. Our integration solutions go beyond individual robot capabilities, creating interconnected ecosystems where data flows seamlessly between machines, sensors, and enterprise systems. This enables predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and agile decision-making, empowering businesses to stay ahead in today's fast-paced market. Contact HS Inc Automation today to discuss how robotics can help optimize your manufacturing processes! #Robotics #Automation #Integration #Manufacturing #Industry40 #AI
