Words matter. They build us up or tear us down. They guide us and mislead us and shape how we each perceive the world. In episode 3 of The Echoes Podcast, we talk with poet and educator Olga Samples-Davis about the words we live by—and how to talk with people who live by words that are different than our own. About us
The H. E. Butt Foundation serves communities in Texas and beyond with initiatives to encourage people to live whole, healthy lives. Our mission is driven by our Christian convictions, and we create opportunities for groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Much of our work takes place in the Texas Hill Country on 1,900 acres with a breathtaking stretch of the Frio River Canyon. There, we run five programs—a youth camp, a family camp, an adult retreat center, an outdoor education initiative, and a camp offering free facility use to select groups—that together host over 27,000 people each year.
