Congrats to our own Bill Moerdyk on his retirement!🎉 He's worked at Habitat Kent as a Construction Site Supervisor for over 20 years, and in that time, was also briefly a Construction Project Manager. Thank you for everything you've done for local families and for our organization. We'll miss you, Bill! 💙 #congrats #retirement #habitatkent #habitatforhumanity

About us
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Kent County brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Established in 1983, Habitat Kent has served more than 450 families in Kent County. People partner with Habitat Kent to build or improve their home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit www.habitatkent.org.

Last week, Habitat Kent staff members had the opportunity to attend a program for a conversation about the housing landscape in Grand Rapids! The program, A Conversation Among Grand Rapids Housing Providers, featured presenters Amy Hovey of Michigan State Housing Development Authority, Eureka People of Housing Kent, Kate Kooyman the District Director to MI Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, and Keynote speaker Dr. Stephanie Coontz. Not to mention, our very own Executive Director, Bev Thiel, took to the podium for an introduction. We're so grateful that we got to be part of such important discussions!
