A Global Impact, Fueled by Minnesota! 🌍 This year, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate four Minnesota-based Habitat for Humanity affiliates who have earned a place among the top tithing offices nationwide! 🎉💙 A huge shout out to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity, NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, and Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County for their commitment to making a difference both locally and globally. 🙌 Through Habitat’s tithe program, U.S. offices contribute a portion of their revenue each year to support housing efforts around the world, particularly for vulnerable communities and those devastated by disaster. This collaboration is a powerful reminder of how small actions ripple out to create lasting change. The Tradition of Tithing: It all started in 1979, when Habitat co-founders Millard and Linda Fuller visited the Democratic Republic of Congo for a home dedication in the village of Ntondo. During the ceremony, a collection was taken, and the local Habitat leader insisted that half of the funds go toward starting a new Habitat program—sparking the beginning of Habitat’s tithe program. That simple act led to the creation of Habitat in Guatemala, and since then, the program has grown into a powerful force for change worldwide. From one small gesture to a global movement, we’re thrilled to see Minnesota affiliates continuing the legacy of generosity and dedication to Habitat’s mission. Thank you for helping build a world where everyone has a decent place to live! 🏡💙 #HabitatTithe

The 2024 Carter Work Project has officially come to a close, and our team is still buzzing with excitement as we trade stories of the hard work, dedication, and joy that came from this incredible event. We especially recognize the hard work of the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity for Humanity team whose partnership with Habitat for Humanity International made this week possible. The Heights, their neighborhood development in Saint Paul's Greater Eastside, is not only a major milestone for them as an organization, but a lasting legacy that will benefit generations of Minnesotans. Habitat for Humanity leaders from Greater Minnesota traveled in to volunteer from Mankato, Alexandria, Moorhead, Virginia, and more! Several of our board members and staff from the state office had the chance to participate as well. The sense of joy and unity shared throughout the week was a beautiful reminder of the power of collaboration and community spirit. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, you were an amazing host. 💙 Together, we are building homes, communities, and hope. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Here’s to many more years of making a difference—together! 💪🔨 Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity NORTH ST.
