This has been a busy fiscal year for our construction team and volunteers! Through our Homeownership Program, qualified homebuyers partner with Habitat and the community to help build their own affordable homes by putting in sweat equity and purchasing their homes with an affordable mortgage. Rising housing prices and the increasing cost of living continue to exacerbate the affordable housing crisis in our region. Homeownership and its many benefits have become further out of reach for many of our Snohomish County residents. Area median income has not kept up with these rising prices.
