Thank you, Bel Air News & Views, for helping us publicize the recent Cecil "Habi-Tech" house move! You can read the article here: https://lnkd.in/eBCRqczu This is the home built by the students of the Cecil County School of Technology (CCST), in partnership with Habitat Susquehanna. TOMORROW we will be posting a Facebook photo album about this Cecil "Habi-Tech" house move --from the CCST to its final, permanent location in Elkton. Please NOTE that our upcoming Habitat Harvest fundraiser on November 1st is supporting the "Habi-Tech" Program, and proceeds will go towards purchasing construction materials for the students to use in building these Habitat homes. Our partnership is not only with the CCST, but also with the Harford Technical High School. The "Habi-Tech" Program is a terrific way to teach the students marketable construction skills while applying STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) learning. If you would like to support our efforts to help the students who are building these Habitat homes as part of our "Habi-Tech" Program, visit our website for tickets and sponsorships: https://lnkd.in/edN6nTtM

NEW SPONSORS TO ANNOUNCE! Our Thursday Thanks go to Susky River Beverage Co., Constellation, APGFCU, Aire Serv of Elkton, Rhoads Energy Corporation, Buttonwood Beach RV Resort, Karen Michaels - State Farm Insurance Agent, Syensqo, and Bulle Rock Habitat for Humanity Club for your sponsorships of our upcoming (November 1st) event, the Habitat Harvest! Sponsorships and tickets are still available! Please visit our website for details: https://lnkd.in/eD5yrYWj The Habitat Harvest fundraising event will support our "Habi-Tech" program, which is where we build homes each year with the students from the Cecil County School of Technology and Harford Technical High School. We purchase all of the building materials, and the students benefit from learning construction and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) skills. Best of all, the students are building a Habitat home which will be purchased by someone who couldn't afford a house the traditional way! We are thankful for this partnership with the tech schools and the support of our sponsors, which offer homebuyers all of the opportunities and possibilities that decent, affordable housing represents! Through shelter, we empower.

Our Director of Construction Dave Burja marks nine years working with Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna! (He is pictured overseeing a panel build where volunteers are building the walls of a house in the parking lot of their place of business.) If YOUR company, place of worship, organization, etc. is looking for a great team building event, contact us and we'll bring the construction site to you! Ask about our sponsored Hammers Up Day and how your team can build the walls to a Habitat home. We supply the building materials, tools, safety equipment and professional supervision. Contact our Director of Development Ola Boswell at oboswell@habitatsusq.org for details.
