Closing Out Women in Construction Week with Mujeres De HACIA! 🌠 At HACIA, we believe in the power of community, mentorship, and unwavering support. That’s why Mujeres De HACIA was created—to uplift, empower, and unite the incredible women breaking barriers in the construction industry. In a male-dominated field, our members have leaned on each other, shared knowledge, and created a space where success is built together. Since its inception, Mujeres De HACIA has been more than just a group—it’s a movement. A place where women find encouragement, celebrate achievements, and navigate challenges hand in hand. Because when one of us rises, we all do. Hear directly from some of our members and HACIA staff as they share what this network means to them. 💙 To all the women in construction: we see you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you. 📹 Credit: Dimelo Media #HACIAWorks #MujeresDeHACIA #WomenInConstruction

🚧✨ Day 4 of Women in Construction Week – Honoring Sophia Irizarry! Breaking barriers and building a brighter future, Sophia Irizarry’s journey into construction is a testament to the power of perseverance and opportunity. In 2022, she took the first step by joining HACIA’s IL Works General Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program, where she connected with union representatives and earned sponsorship into the Laborers' Union (LiUNA). After completing her two-year apprenticeship, she is now a Journeyman Laborer in demolition, helping shape the city she loves! As a single mother, Sophia sought a career with strong benefits and better pay, and she found more than just a job—she found a pathway to success in a male-dominated industry. Now, she sees the endless opportunities available for women in construction and is paving the way for others to follow. Join us in celebrating Sophia’s resilience, hard work, and the impact of women in construction! 👷🏽♀️ #HACIAWorks #WomenInConstructionWeek
