The Home Forward Killingsworth affordable housing complex in NE Portland is making incredible strides! 🚧✨ A collaboration between Home Forward and Portland Community College, this transformative development will feature 84 homes and 3 early learning classrooms for families.
A huge shout-out to our phenomenal O'Neill/Walsh Community Builders (OWCB) team — Kent Usher, Patrick Dengsot, Jenny Evans, Ali O'Neill, Maurice Rahming, Uriah Lattimer, and Sara Schubert — for their unwavering dedication, teamwork, and passion driving this project forward. 👏
We’re also incredibly grateful to our skilled RDF BUILDERS CO craftspeople — Andre Snegeriff, Heath Fletcher, Sara Atkinsen, Dan McHargue, Lanel Gentry, Mario Loera, Mike Britt, and Uriah Lattimer — whose attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship are bringing this vision to life. Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed! 💪🔨
Located at Portland Community College's new Opportunity Center, families will have access to a wide range of vital services, including career resources, social support, workforce training, and education programs. The NAYA Family Center will provide onsite early childhood education, while the Oregon Department of Human Services will be on campus to assist families. And next year, the Multnomah County Health Department will open a community health center, offering even more support to residents.
The Home Forward Killingsworth project is a shining example of innovative, community-driven housing solutions that empower families through education and career development. Thoughtfully designed by Hacker to reflect and celebrate the rich communal history of the Cully Neighborhood, this project is more than just housing — it's a cornerstone for growth and connection in the community. 🏡🌱
