A few #halliburton interns around the world 💫 📍Austin Mackie, production solutions intern, shares his experience from Scotland! His favorite experience was applying what he learned in the office, then going out to the yard and seeing the equipment operations firsthand. 📍Carolina Espeche, a drill bits intern in Argentina, says her biggest takeaway is the opportunity to learn Halliburton's processes and relate to different cultures as well. 📍Felipe Sanchez, cementing intern in Ecuador, says working in HSE and service quality has had a huge impact on his future career. "I have learned the importance of identifying risks early and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents". #safetyfirst 📍Najima Trisnoh, lab intern, says hi from Brunei! As a chemistry major, Najima has been able to see how her academic background and skills could be applied in an industrial setting. She gained a thorough understanding of the crucial role of oil-based mud in drilling operations. Help us celebrate #nationalinternday in the comments below ⬇️

As #CCUS becomes a critical part of the decarbonization strategy, lessons learned from enhanced oil recovery (EOR) can help provide a path forward >> https://bit.ly/3Wl8Ydu In his main stage session at the Carbon Capture & Hydrogen Technology Expo, Steven Knabe, global director of Evaluation and Production for Halliburton Consulting explained the relationship between EOR and CCUS. “Expanded commercial use of CO2 for EOR in many oil-producing regions can help provide incentives to capture CO2,” said Knabe. “Moreover, using CO2 for EOR results in a high percentage of the CO2 remaining in the oil reservoir, effectively sequestering it over time. Once EOR is no longer economical in a field, the CO2 can be either used for other commercial purposes or sequestered permanently in the geological formation,” said Knabe.
