🧬 DojoExplore Seminar Series @ University of Connecticut
Interested in biotech venture creation or venture capital? The DojoExplore Program is an introductory seminar series on bio-entrepreneurship involving industry leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors. Students will gain insights into the layout of the biotech industry, market trends, and funding in biotech spaces with the goal of making venture creation more accessible to undergrads by facilitating connections with the Storrs biotech community and beyond. The series concludes with a mixer with biotech founders. Open to all students — no prior experience required!
⭐️ First up: Michael Harman, PhD, Contract Executive Advisor and Partner at Harman Consulting, speaking on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 5-7 pm.
Dr. Harman serves as a Business Development & Medtech Consulting Partner at ProNexus Advisory and the Vice President of Technology and Innovation at ROGUE Innovation + Design. He is the founder of Harman Consulting and a Network Partner and Molecular Diagnostic and Biotechnology Consultant at the NEMIC Foundation. He is also the Vice President of Technology and Innovation at MECO Diagnostics and serves as a Scientific Liaison. Previously, he was the Director of Research & Development at Veranex and Ximedica. He held research positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital and earlier roles at the University of Arizona, University of Connecticut Health Center, and Covidien.
