HDC is excited to have recently completed the installation of a modular process chiller in a working production/testing facility. Close coordination with the client, contractors, design team, and the municipality was required to successfully install this mission critical equipment without interruption to production. Originally from California, Darvelle was raised in Georgia and earned Bachelor of Science degrees from both Tuskegee University and Alabama A&M University. HDC Employee Spotlight - Kristen Mills, Project Manager Kristen is very active in the Canton Community. As a member of the Canton Community Association, she has spearheaded the involvement of HDC with landscaping efforts for O’Donnell Square Park and has spent countless hours volunteering to help raise money for Friends of Canton Dog Park on Clinton and Toone St. Most recently helping the team raise over $25,000 to perform much needed repairs at the park. Using her professional experience, she is also volunteering her time to participate in the Canton Economic Development Committee, who assists local businesses with review and support of new development. Kristen is also a member of CREW Baltimore, a women in real estate development group and recently was invited to be a part of the Maryland Zoo’s Emerging Leaders Board. We are thrilled to announce that our work on the Hillman Garage project in Annapolis has been awarded an honorable mention in the annual P3 Awards. We are pleased the judges recognized this project’s ability to include tax-exempt financing while also retaining the involvement of a concessionaire as agent. They lauded the project for showing how P3s can be done on a smaller scale and for addressing strong and clear Environmental, Social and Governance needs.
