As the Campaign Chair, founder and principal Teresa Araco Rodgers helped "cut the ribbon" for Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School's new Monarch Wing yesterday! The new wing which will foster academic innovation, self-advocacy, leadership, and community connections through an expansive dining and community commons, seminar room, counseling center, and two classrooms.

Several weeks ago, we shared our thoughts about research that informs the work of philanthropy. Today, we're shifting the narrative to discuss research about philanthropy and how it can help funders can improve their operations and programming. Research on philanthropy can focus on various subjects, including board governance, grants management, how philanthropy can forward equity, communications, and family involvement in philanthropy, to highlight a few. To celebrate a summer of hard work and several birthdays, harp-weaver staff visited the Mary Cassatt At Work Exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 🎨 We enjoyed learning about Cassatt's life, the multiple mediums she used, and the people that influenced her art.

Thanks to the HealthSpark Foundation for convening organizations in the community event 'Building the Public Will for Housing Solutions' today! Several experts shared how it's important to position a conversation about homelessness by starting with values as well as how one can meaningfully discuss negative messaging around issues like criminalizing homelessness. We work with funders who address homelessness, and are always eager to participate in conversations about this important topic. #convening #funders #nonprofits #homelessness #philanthropy #grants

As intern Kayleigh Howard completed her internship, she shared her experiences attending a meaningful site visit with Wildflower Composers and working on a 20-year report about a foundation client's impact. It's #InternationalYouthDay! Many foundations that harp-weaver LLC manages and advises support youth. Some support K-12 education and afterschool programming, while others provide funding to students through colleges and universities. Our staff also volunteer with youth-serving organizations.
