Thank you to The Place for having me on the show to discuss I HATE JOB INTERVIEWS. It always blows people away when I tell them to prepare for 10 hours before an interview. That is, until I remind them that the average person spends nearly 2.5 hours on social media a day! #samscareertalk

Book appreciation post. Sharing a beautiful read here ! Author Kindra Hall just put words to what my storytelling heart had always known but never knew how to say. I believe - 'a story is what connects us all to each one of us and also to our purpose in life.' My profession as a former teacher and academic leader involved practicing the very art of storytelling on quotidian, seldom realizing that those simple stories glued me and my audience together and in the process transformed us both. Truly what Kindra says about each story having three pieces - "Normal (Things how they are) - Explosion (Something changes) - New Normal (Things are good different)" Hope you enjoy this great read ! Cheers 😊

“Figuring out who you are, and acting on that understanding, is truly liberating. It’s a huge weight off your shoulders,” writes consultant Ricardo Sunderland in his new book, “The Energy Advantage: How to Go from Managing Your Time to Mastering Your Energy.” Ricardo recently met with 250+ executives from leading organizations across Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Zurich, and Basel to discuss insights from “The Energy Advantage.” Most leaders who attended reported they are already embarking on journeys of self-discovery to become more humane, live happier lives and lead their teams more effectively. The pandemic revealed, in a stark way, that most organizations today offer only physical and mental challenges and rewards. In this excerpt from "The Energy Advantage," Ricardo Sunderland argues that the spiritual and emotional sides of work are just an important.
