Dr. Maria Luisa Moro de Casillas was instrumental in establishing a dedicated Spanish-speaking clinic at the Chase Family Movement Disorders Center! She ensured it was a completely culturally integrated clinic so they can provide full and adequate care for the Spanish-speaking communities. ❤️

Hartford Hospital is grateful to the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance (CTBTA), which awarded a $40,000 grant to the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital and its Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center to fund brain tumor research, patient financial assistance, and the program’s compassionate care. “The CTBTA is very proud to provide this grant and thanks Hartford Hospital for everything they do in supporting brain tumor patients and their families, in addition to their continued efforts in developing clinical trials and research to find the cure,” said Chris Cusano, CEO of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance. In addition to the generous grant, the CTBTA donated dozens of “Blankets of Hope,” which will be provided to patients visiting the cancer center for treatment.

Gratitude: it’s a critical part of our culture here at Hartford HealthCare! • Our colleagues assembled at our System Support Office for some perfectly-prepared pizza from our friends at New Haven Pizza Truck, and incredible ice cream from our friends at Blue Chip Creamery - to celebrate all of the amazing work they do to transform healthcare and making the care experience better for our patients and our communities. ❤️ • Check out some sights and sounds of this remarkable afternoon, featuring one of our graduate administrative interns Cameron Morosky, and our President & CEO Jeffrey Flaks. • To all of our colleagues, we are truly grateful and inspired by your commitment to improve the health and healing of the communities we serve. • #HartfordHealthCare #Community #Social #ColleagueAppreciation #Colleagues #Connecticut
