📈 2024 RFP Trends: Volume is Up, But Are We Winning More? The 2024 RFP Trends & Benchmarks Report by Loopio is in, and it’s clear: submission volumes are increasing across industries. On average, teams submitted 175 RFPs in 2023, up from 162 the previous year. While more bids often lead to more opportunities, they also come with increased pressure and time demands. Interestingly, teams are spending less time per RFP, averaging 30 hours, down from 32 hours. Yet, total writing time has gone up due to higher submission volume. More bids, tighter deadlines—this is the new normal for proposal teams. The economic pressures of 2023 have pushed many organizations to respond to more bids, even with reduced resources, as 66% of teams reported not gaining additional help. 📉 But here's the kicker: win rates have remained relatively stable, hovering at 43%, only slightly down from 44% last year. The data suggests that while teams are hustling to respond to more bids, the quality may be slipping—something that could eventually affect those win rates. How can teams stay ahead in 2024? It’s about finding the balance between quantity and quality. With fewer resources, the most successful teams are leveraging technology and optimizing processes. The report shows that 38% of companies are planning to invest in tech to streamline their processes.
