We have some exciting news! Hastings Mutual is now Hastings Insurance! Check out our new logo, to accompany our new name, ushering us into a new era of Hastings Insurance. We are working hard to transition our branding over, and appreciate your patience, while we update all our platforms. While this is a big, exciting change, our amazing teams/employees are staying the same, along with our dedication to our Agents and Insureds. We’re excited for this new adventure with you all.

Hastings is proud to announce the newest member of our Board of Directors, Hon. Kurtis T. Wilder (Ret.). Mr. Wilder’s professional history as an Attorney includes working as an intern in the City of Cleveland’s Prosecutor’s office, Chief Judge of the Washtenaw County Trial Court, Judge of the Michigan Court of Appeals, and notably, Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. Currently, Mr. Wilder is affiliated with Butzel Long, PC, where his role as a shareholder sees his involvement across the organization, including Appellate practice, mediation, and more. Outside of his professional roles, Mr. Wilder is passionate about serving his community. He is a patron of the arts, serves on multiple boards, including the Board of Trustees of the world-renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts, and sings in his church’s Chancel Choir. We are grateful for his partnership and look forward to a bright future working together.

Do you know who’s at the other end of the web? Unless you’re 100% positive who you’re engaging with online, don’t do it. Get a friend request from a cute stranger you’ve never met, living in a different country? IGNORE. Get an unexpected email from someone claiming to be friends with someone you know? DELETE. October is Cyber Security Awareness Month! Cybercriminals are smart…like, really smart. They know that with the slightest tweaks to a URL, they can copy the look & feel of a legitimate website, and trick users into entering their personal information online. Don’t fall into the trap! Double check the links you’re clicking – better yet, only visit verified sites by typing out the entire URL, and ensure that it matches the information you already have. It may not be as convenient as following a link, but a few seconds typing out a URL can save you headaches from stolen information, in the future! #CyberSecurityAwarenessMonth #SecureOurWorld
