To celebrate Women in Construction week, women across Hausmann's offices met up in Omaha to volunteer at Open Door Mission, walk through one of our projects at 37 West Farnam, and wrap up the day with some pickleball. To Build the Best SCHOOLS—we combine smart design with quality construction. This complex demolition, renovation, and new construction project provides 85,000 square feet of updated school facilities for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Public Schools. It features the demolition of a 1922 masonry high school building and other outdated structures, renovation of elementary classrooms, and new construction of high school areas. To Build the Best COMMUNITIES—we construct facilities that inspire active lifestyles. Last year, we completed a new 90,000 square foot YMCA facility in Hastings that combines extensive renovations with modern additions. The project features a 17,600 square foot gymnasium addition with an elevated running track, a 5,600 square foot child development center addition, a 13,800 square foot field house addition, and an 8,900 square foot wellness center renovation. To Build the Best INFRASTRUCTURE—we reinforce the systems that support growing communities. Currently in preconstruction, the 51-acre Theresa Street Water Resource Recovery Facility in Lincoln is set for major capacity improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. The project includes two new aeration basins, two final clarifiers, a new non-potable water system building, a new primary power substation, and existing aeration basin and primary power distribution improvements. Using augmented reality, students, staff, and community members got a virtual preview of completed spaces—right from inside the unfinished rooms!
