Budget cuts to services for crime survivors + their children will cause homelessness, mental health crises, injuries, and deaths. We call on @cagovernor @gavinnewsom to approve the $103 million in funding allocated by the Legislature! https://lnkd.in/eJtEgumR Sample statement: “My name is ______ with ___(organization, if applicable)_______. I’m calling to ask that Governor Newsom support the $103 million in continuing funding allocated to sustain victims services funding in the Joint Legislative Budget Proposal. Due to federal funding cuts, survivors’ access to lifesaving shelter, hotline, counseling, and other essential services is at risk if the Governor does not include this funding in the final budget deal. I implore the Governor to prioritize the needs of hundreds of thousands of survivors of crime and include this vitally needed funding in the final budget.” #havenhills #DVawareness
