How much would I be willing to pay for a parcel of intermediate feeds, or how much would I be willing to take to sell a gasoline component rather than blend it into finished gasoline? At our MUG 2024 Users Conference in Montreal, Olen Brown of Motiva Enterprises LLC will showcase how Motiva uses an automated method to generate break-even curves and will discuss the pros and cons of different methods used to evaluate the value of a stream crossing the fence line in an LP. This is the LAST WEEK to Register for our conference to see this presentation and network with optimization experts! https://lnkd.in/giJMEKtw

At our MUG 2024 Users Conference next month, Vince DiVita and Tim Ritts of 1898 & Co. will provide an informal break-out session covering tips on reviewing LP output and improving your LP analytics.  "We can teach people to run LP’s relatively quick, but it takes considerably more time to develop the art of analyzing and interpreting LP results. There will be an emphasis on marginal values. During the break-out, we will literally open LP reports and go through some of my methodologies to review LP results.  I encourage you to send a “sanitized” model prior to the break-out and we can use that for demonstration purposes. I have used LP’s in consulting for over 35 years and hope to pass on meaningful strategies to improve your confidence and productivity.  “DiVita’s Dogma for Refinery LP’s” will be introduced as it is exceptionally pertinent to this break-out." At MUG 2024 next month, Gus Vasquez of Argus Media will give insights into how the operational start-up of the new expansion to the Trans Mountain pipeline to Vancouver has opened up a new world of possibilities for heavy Canadian crude exports to reach new destinations. But so far it has not been smooth sailing as logistics have proven to be challenging, and it appears to be a little too early to fully understand how the economics will look in the long term. Cut Point Optimization is a powerful and convenient way to model distillation towers in refinery planning models. At our MUG 2024 Users Conference, Malek Masri and Kathy Nelson will showcase this ability to link the LP directly to HCAMS and they will highlight several points that make this a success – from smooth assays to the correct settings in the HCAMS project file to configuring the cutpoint controls and managing stream yield qualities in GRTMPS, even to uploading to H/COMET. Register today to attend this Breakout Session at MUG! https://lnkd.in/e2G4YnQq
