    Honoring Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Donna Longboy, manager for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children’s Pediatric Ambulatory Unit and Apheresis Program, recently joined Hawaii News Now to talk about Kapiolani’s pediatric cancer services. Our pediatric cancer team provides groundbreaking services and treatment for Hawaii's keiki, including: • Access to the latest clinical trials for pediatric cancer patients, with 95% of our pediatric cancer patients participating in a clinical trial. • Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, a cancer immunotherapy treatment that uses a patient's own T cells to fight cancer. • The state's only bone marrow transplant program.
